Kids Clay Camp with Kathi Traywick – A fun time for kids to learn to work with clay.  Four sessions from 10:30 am to 12 Noon June 9, 10, 11 and 12 for ages 7 to 12.  The course fee is $45.00 with a $15 supply cost.

Kids/Youth Summer Art Classes with Mark Menendez - Learn new artistic skills for students ages 8 to 16.  Classes start Friday, June 20 and run weekly (except for July 4) through Friday, August 1 from 1:00 pm to 2:30 pm.  The fee for the six classes is $75.00 plus supplies.  A supply list is available at GAHA. 

Kids Summer Drama Camp with Penny Dalton - Each child  (ages 8 to 12) will learn the basics of drama by working with puppet characters, improv, and acting out short skits. The camp is June 16 through 20 and June 23 through 27 from 10 am to 12:45 pm each day.  On Friday, June 27 at 11:30 am, family and friends are invited to attend the play/skits showcasing the students skills.  The two week summer camp fee is $90 with a snack fee of $10.

Kindermusik Adventures with Katie Mayfield - If you have a newborn or a child up to five years old, please visit our website at gilmerarts.org to view our delightful array of summer classes designed to improve your child’s development process.   Classes range from $80 to $90 and special discounts apply.

Beginner/Intermediate Watercolor with Joy Lyons - Please don’t miss this unique opportunity to learn watercolor techniques and create your own work of art.  There are four classes in this series.  The fee is $80 with a supply fee of $15.  Classes will be held on Thursdays beginning June 5 from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm.

Photography with Jody Huneycutt - Learn the basic aspects of photography such as camera operation, composition, light, techniques and equipment.  Weekly assignments will allow students to practice what was covered with instructional critique.  Both film and digital methods will be discussed.  There are six classes, on Thursdays, from 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm beginning May 8.  The class fee is $75.00 with a supply fee of $18.00.  

Quilted Purse Class with Connie Cameron - Learn quilting techniques with a special three-class session for quilting a purse.  Classes are Mondays (May 12, 19, and June 2) from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm.   The fee is $35.00.  A supply list is necessary to purchase your materials, and you will need a sewing machine.   

Appliqué Class with Connie Cameron – Appliqué is a needlework technique in which pieces of fabric, embroidery or other materials are sewn onto a bottom piece of fabric to create designs.  A class description will be available soon at GAHA.  The four classes are Mondays, June 9, 16, 23 and 30 from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm with a fee of $50.00.  

Colored Pencil or Open Class with Mark Menendez - Work on your own project with Mark's assistance or sign up to learn the colored pencil technique creating a piece entitled "The Chickadee".  Classes are on Fridays from 10 am to 12 pm.  The fee is $25 per student per class with a four week minimum sign up.  Supply fee for the colored pencil project is $40. 

Landscapes in Watercolor with June Hurley Young - Work on your own project with June’s assistance.  Classes are Tuesdays, June 14 and 21 from 9:30 am to 2:30 pm at Cohutta Lodge with an hour lunch break.  Class fee is $20.  Bring your own supplies or pay a material fee of $10.
